Long, slender grains define this classic rice variety. When cooked the grains remain separate producing a rice that is light and fluffy, perfect to absorb the flavours of your cooking. Long Grain is the ideal partner to your favourite casserole or stir fry, or try something adventurous like a spicy Jambalaya from the deep south of America.

Long Grain White Rice.

Usage Instructions

Absorption: 1. Place 1 cup of rice in a saucepan. 2. Add 1 1/2 cups of cold water and bring to the boil, stir gently. 3. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 15 minutes or until moisture is absorbed. 4. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes. 5. Fluff with a fork and serve. Gentle Boil: 1. Place 1 cup of rice in a saucepan. 2. Add 8 cups of cold water and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally. 3. Reduce heat and boil gently uncovered for 15 minutes. 4. Remove from heat, drain well and serve. 1 cup of uncooked rice = approximately 3 cups of cooked rice. For softer texture add 1 3/4 cups of water to 1 cup of rice for absorption and rice cooker method.

Storage Instructions

Store in a cool dry place out of sunlight.
